Hi everyone, It's been awhile since I posted on the forum...and I"ve missed it. So much going on and a boatload of new farmgirl sisters, too. So cool.

I love meeting other Farmgirls Sisters here. Are any of you from Oregon?

Hey, there, Heather, you are about three years behind me! We left Orange County in spring of 1988, and it was snowing when we drove through Grants Pass! It surely is beautiful, isn't it?

@Traildancer - Hello :) :) I've lived in Oregon since June 1991 :) :) :) I moved here with my dad before my senior year of high school. Oh goodness, I'd been to Oregon before..but I wasn't prepared for the winter. So uthern California winter was 60 degrees :) :) So that first winter I wore sweatpants, sweat shirt, mittens, socks etc to bed. Now I'm used to the weather. I LOVE it...even the cloudy, rainy days. My favorite is when it's cloudy and sunny at the same time. It's raining just enough to make everything wet outside...and it's perfect because you can enjoy all the beautiful colors ;) :)

@Eraumom - I sure do enjoy watermelon and potatoes ;) :) :)

Thanks all for making your presence known here :) :) It's cool. I like meeting people from all over...not just Oregon...but anywhere :) :)

Love and hugs from Oregon, Heather :)

Hi, Heather. I'm a Farmgirl and I live in Glide outside of Roseburg. How long have you lived in OR? I moved down with my husband, who was born here, 23 years ago. I enjoy OR, except for the grey and the rain in winter. But the summers are fantastic!! I do a lot of camping and packing in with my horses in various parts of OR and everywhere is awesome.

@HDA , I've never visited the Columbia Gorge...yet. However, I've heard it's just gorgeous :) Oregon really has it all from some of the most BEAUTIFUL beaches to desert landscapes. It's amazing ;) :)

@J.F. Brown - I'm only a weather wimp when it comes it icy roads :) I dislike black ice. However, I'll tell you what...when it snows outside and it's sunny...I happily wear Birkenstock sandles or any other sandle and an ice pair of shorts. However, if it's cold outside I'll wear a sweatshirt. Just one of those funny carry-overs from my college days. Lots of people do that here :) not the Birkenstocks...but shorts and sandles even in snow weather :)

I'll be joining soon, just juggling the pennies! Ashland and the Gorge are both beautiful! We used to get down to Ashland for my son's tournaments for a few years, but Special Olympics isn't doing the big two-day events these days.
The Gorge is close enough that we get out there a bit in summer, but I am a weather-wimp and try not to drive if it's snowy or icy.

Hi, Heather,
Not officially in the sisterhood yet ( at tax return time...) but I am just outside Portland. Where are you?
