My daughter is interested in having a penpal (well, email pal at this time). She'd like to write to someone in the U.S. or Canada, whom she might get to meet someday. She's ten and would like someone her age of a bit younger. She LOVES animals, especially dogs and bunnies, enjoys basketball, riding her bike, camping, computer games and TV (I hate to admit the latter), and lots more.
Any young Farmgirls out there?

Hi Karin. Sorry it's been a bit since I was able to get back on this thing. Email me (go to my profile and click send e mail) and we 'll get the girls going. My daughter is at grandmas for one more week. She is excited about being a pen pal. I must go. More doctors. I'll be glad when this surgery thing is over!!!!

I told Linnea about your daughter and she would like to write to her. I was also telling her that Centennial, Wyoming is a place we might get to some day. She was excited to hear that!
I don't think I ever answered your question from another post concerning my visits to Centennial. Thirty years ago this summer, two friend and I took a road trip and camped somewhere in Medicine Bow NF. There was something about it I really liked and wanted to get a seasonal FS job there. That didn't materialize, but I did get back there the next year (1977). I don't really remember how many times I've been there, but the last time was probably back in 1995. I was pregnant with Linnea and my (now ex) husband and I took a trip to visit friends in Fort Collins. I remember going there with them.
I was back in the general area two summers ago. From Fort Collins I went to Laramie but then had to head east and north to meet up with a friend in the Black Hills.
Maybe a trip your way will happen again?
How can we get the girls started writing?

Hey Farm Girls
Karin I have a niece in Fort Worth who is 8 years and loves to write and do email. She just finished an elementary journalism class in a summer enrichment program. I could ask her folks if she would be interested.
They just went on vacation today and won't be back for several weeks, but I could let you know.
