My hubs doesn't have a romantic bone in his body, bless he his heart, but he sure tried today to make it special...in his own way...heh...

We got to the truckstop and went in to grab a shower and eat Sunday dinner. I usually go on to the restaurant and he does all his last minute stuff and then joins me.

So, tmr is Valentines, y'know?? The restaurant had a special going and hubby actually ate his Val. dinner and then, get this, he shared the chocolate cake with strawberries and cream on top PLUS a chocolate covered strawberry with me.

Isn't that grand?? You could tell he was aching to get out of there and yet trying to sit still and make me feel special. He has a handlebar mustache and when he's bugged, the 'stache twitches. It was twitching but he tried to suppress it.

When all the goodies were eaten and we were ready to leave, he almost bounded out of the seat but had the good sense to do it politely.

Poor guy, I almost felt sorry for him but this was something I wanted to do and he was willing to override all his instincts and do it for me. I'm a very lucky girl!!

Winona! I was so touched that your husband showed so much of his love toward you. You said he wasn't the romantic type and I can understand that, but the little somethings he did for you were more than those to whom romance comes naturally. Give him a HUGE kiss!

I don't know how to edit a post but wanted to add this:

When I asked him if he'd like part of the chocolate covered strawberry, he gave me a look that said "What the h*ll is THAT?" but did his best to smile and say thanks.
