I'm so glad someone here mentioned the magazine "Backwoods Home."

We are reading several copies I got from the library and love them all. There is so much information in them in regards to self-sufficient living and it's been very helpful.

I LOVE Backwoods Home magazine. In fact I need to renew my subscription. I really liked the article about planting potatoes in "seasoned" straw instead of the soil. I'm going to try that this year. They are chock-full of info. I also like the funny stories and joke section. It really is a great magazine.
