Posted a picture of a few of my favorites. I keep a look out for old Children's books when at the thrift or at garage sales. The pictures in them are so much nicer then the newer books.

I loved your old children's books. I have a lot of mine from my childhood...so most would be at least 60+ years old. There are some that have had their spines broken & my Mom retaping them with masking tape...all that she had at the time. My own kids were able to look at the book also, but I was careful with them, so as not to have them deteriorate further. You are right. The illustrations were supurb. I could get lost just looking at the pictures and imagining myself in the scenes. Thanks Nancy for posting them. I may take some pictures of some of mine and put them on this thread!.
