Posted - Feb 05 2011 : 06:06:32 AM Oh I have to leave to go to work here in about 20 minutes as today is going to be a busy day.
I hope the sun is shining where ever you are and that it is not icy. Anyone else itching for spring? I am starting to get that visceral ache for little growing seedlings and the smell of fresh earth.

Posted - Feb 06 2011 : 07:06:51 AM Snowing for 24 hours now. It is supposed to continue snowing until Tuesday. I don't mind it though, because the weather fluctuates so much here, it will be melted by Friday;) Winter is my favorite time of the year, along with Fall...I have always been that way...am I crazy? I really do not like hot weather, but my hubby is hoping I will reconsider that as I get older so we can move to a more southern climate;/ Today is a HUGE football day in our home. I will be cooking chili, cornbread, and some sort of taco dip with root beer floats for dessert. If the Steelers do not win...the mood will be full of grumpies in the house...not me of course, but the men;) Have a super great Sunday girls:) |

Posted - Feb 05 2011 : 7:23:46 PM I saw the starts of snowdrops in my garden. I've been so busy the last three weeks I haven't had time to wish for spring, but I do have that yearning for dirt:)

Posted - Feb 05 2011 : 07:33:17 AM Good morning Alee, Warm here in Florida 83 degrees yesterday. 76 here today. Sunny and a little windy. I planted 28 tomato seeds last week and already they are popping up. I will probably have all of my spring garden in by the end of February. I actually envy you girls. I love the cooler weather. I am normally harvesting all of my garden by June or else it starts getting to hot and the bugs take over. In the hot summer I usually just have okra and a few tomatos left growing. Have a great day!!
