It is a great movie, and I got my husband to go with me. Normally he isn't into these movies but liked it so much he wants us to purchase.

Justin and I are having a "date night" this Saturday and we're going to see it! I'm so excited. I absolutely love the cast--there isn't a stronger stage based set of actors assembled anywhere, in any film. Brilliant job of casting.

Can't wait!!

Okay..your comments prompted me and my husband to go see it. I have a friend in Canada who's seen it twice and wants to see it again. Works for me..and Colin Firth is a plus!

Funny...the audience applauded here too! I agree that ALL who were nominated should win. :) I would go to the theater again to see it, and I don't know if there's ever been a movie I've said that about before.

Same thing here in Colorado Springs. The audience, mostly silver-haired boomers, applauded at the end. I can't remember the last time I heard that happen. It's SUCH a good movie, and anyone nominated for anything in it should win. I can't get over what a perfect Queen mum Helena Bonham Carter played. She always looks like she needs a good scrubbing, but in this movie she's an exquisite English rose.

My husband and I so loved this movie. It was so well done and it was difficult for us to decide who the best actor should go to, Colin Firth or Geoffrey Rush. It was so poignant to see the friendship develop, and as the mother now of a young man who used to stutter, I found it so inspirational. When the movie ended, the audience applauded and you don't get that much here in Chicago.
