As lot of you know I am a widow of 6 months today. The holidays were really hard. But I did something for myself this year by getting a little white Christmas tree and decorating it all in pink and silver. I love it so I decided to use it year round ! Here she is in hert Christmas apparel ..
//

And here she is for Valentines day...I found these adorable little tin hearts . Then I just cut a cardstock heart and placed my familys names on each of them. Added the spray of silver out the top instead of the star.

Hugs...Kristy

Kristy! That's BEAUTIFUL! I think the Valentine's tree, especially, reflects all that is in your heart: love. God bless you, sister. I can't imagine how tough it is right now for you, but I can see that your light is still burning brightly! Shine On! SHINE ON!!! Lots of love - Nini

Kristy, you are making baby steps, so proud of you~~those baby steps will grow into bigger steps as time goes on. Actually, I think they may be changing into bigger steps as we speak. You go girl with the pink!! After looking at the new issue of MJF.....I'm thinking all white with lots of ruffles, candles, etc. in my bedroom!!! Let your imagination go~~

Thank you sisters ! It now brings me a lot of joy. I never dreamed I would be a widow at 53. But Mesothelioma took my love. Now I must keep going and make new memories for my children and Grandbabies.

Diane... I know Dutchy will love it. I meant to post the Christmas pic where she posted pic of her tree. Forgot ! lol !! I love all things pink. My husband accepted it in small doses ! So.. with a new beginning comes more pink in my world !! lol !!

Hugs...Kristy

Kristy,
Very pretty and creative. Wait until Marian (Dutchy) sees that pink and white and silver tree!

Happy to be a "Raggedy Ann" in a Barbie World!

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Kristy,

I really admire you. It was very creative to stretch your tree into something you can enjoy longer and courageous to start new traditions to replace others that may be painful. I thankfully am not a widow, but I hope if it is in my future that I can face it with courage and strength as you are.

My thoughts are with you as you take on the rest of your year of "firsts."
