Well, it has been 8 months since we moved in and there is still so much to do with fixing up the old girl . . . she just needs lots of love. But I finally posted a few pics. Take a peek at my blog!

Gosh, I start chatting and I'm not thinking tonite. I loved your house and all of the things you have done with it! I bookmarked your blog and I'm anxious to see what you have done next! Love the light fixture you have done over. It's suprising what you can do with just paint! Alanna

I'm new to this blog, and I live in a 1900 old farmhouse here in Pa and we are slowly restoring it. Alot of work, but it is sure worth it. I had a artist friend of mine help me when we moved in 4 yrs. ago . We did a family tree going down the steps. We first ripped off the shag carpeting and painted the steps a barn red. She painted in old script my hubby's grandparents names, his parents and now our names on the steps. She also ripped up the hospital lineoleum in the bathroom and hallway and did a lite tan and black checkboard wooden floor. I had a gold tub from 1970 so I'm working with what I have. My hubby is fighting cancer right now so everything is on hold till he gets better. Take are, Alanna

You have a wonderful site and loved your pictures. Is that white cabinet in the back a kitchen queen? I was interested in the drawers, cupboards and pewter pieces (I think they are). Love it.

Brenda, your farm house is just beautiful. You have done a great job decorating it. My daughter has the dining room set you have plus the hutch that matches it. She got 6 chairs, the table and the two leafs and the hutch which is really nice and all lighted inside. Very lodgey looking. She paid close too $4000 for the whole thing. So yes you got a great buy for the table and chairs and the 2 leafs. It looks great in your dining room. Keep your eye out for more chairs, that was a steal!!

What a great job. I live in an old farmhouse too but I have trouble envisioning how I can decorate things. Thanks for the inspiration.

Happy to be a "Raggedy Ann" in a Barbie World!

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.
