Melody what else have you been watching? I want your movie list!

If you ladies liked the movie so well, you ought to give both her books a try. It's very simple reading and she is redundant, but both were worth the time-especially for anyoe who raises or deals with livestock.

The same principles are applied to zoo hooved critters too and hase really been an asset to some of our situations.

Look her up on Amazon and you'll see both book titles

Thank you for telling s about this film. I have heard Temple Grandin talk on NPR and have admired her greatly.

My son is mildly autistic and is ADHD. He didn't start talking until he was 4 years old. We get discouraged sometimes, especially with the school, but we never give up on him.

I had actually not heard of this movie so I'm so glad you posted this! What an amazing story and I love anything that has to do with treating animals humanely!

Thanks for the link! I heard an interview with her on our local public radio station, and I've been hooked ever since! I also got her book from the library. A real eye-opener!

My dad saw this movie a few months ago and enjoyed it so much, he wouldn't stop talking about it. Every time I went over to visit, he would go downstairs to see if it would be playing. I ultimately ended up buying it for him for Christmas and we watched it together. What an amazing movie. I've been meaning to read some of her books and this movie prompted me to immediately visit my library. Still waiting for them to arrive, but I can't wait.

That's awesome Grace! It is a small world isn't it?

I have to tell you that my ENTIRE family sat down to watch this movie and we were so enthralled we couldn't budge until it was over. It's very rare to see anything remotely like this; so well done and riveting throughout.I found myself "cheering" her on and yelling at the idiots who dismissed her ideas.

I just wanted to share this link with the girls so they could see for themselves what a REMARKABLE woman Temple is.

She is a dear friend of our and have spent many years learning from her. She has attended several of the shows over the years that my sons and I have been in and the boys fell in love with her straight forward approach. My youngest son has had the honor to work with her in training animals and also in kicking around with her. I was thrilled to see the movie and to know that the world would get to know this special lady as we have - a treasury in western wear.

I love it. But, then, I've been reading Temple Grandin for many years. I though Clair Danes really mastered her speech patterns and of course, her trademark western wear :)
