I don't post photos of my family so that is the only reason you don't see a photo of us/me. Just something my husband requests of me.

My happiest memory was my visit to my brother (y'all must be getting sick and tired of me mentioning that lol)

Hugs from Marian/Dutchy, a farmgirl from the Netherlands :)

Good post!

This year has been a true blessing, with our daughter Violet now almost 2. Seeing the world through her eyes has made me younger, happier and more in love with life than I've ever been.

Some of the year's highlights:

Violet's first birthday party: about a gazillion friends and family members marked the occasion. She slept through most of it, but did enjoy her cake.

Making our first batch of Violet jelly and having everyone, and I mean everyone, love it.

Spending more time with our family members--wee ones bring EVERYONE closer.

A stronger relationship with my husband-we loved each other before Violet, but we are truly IN love after having Violet.

Beautiful pictures! I think this is more valuable and heartwarming than all the resolutions people can make. We need to see the joy and beauty of our lives. It sounds like you had a wonderful year.

Here are some of mine.

1. Number one happiest moment this year was when I was getting groceries a couple of weeks ago and right in the middle of the cleaning product aisle got a cell phone call. DD had just taken a pregnancy test and it was positive!
2. Not in Chronological order, but DD and her guy were married in June.
3. DH and I drove out to NY to get a floor loom that had belonged to a dear friend and I was able to take a 3 day class in weaving, which has been a dream for 30 years.
4. Doing more homemade gifts this year for Christmas was fun especially since DH got into the spirit too.
5. A continuing close relationship with my sister isn't just a moment but a trend after years of being just "too busy" with our own lives.

Have another wonderful year, Kristina!
