i just read where the fcc is trying to regulate the internet. it would make it so each time we use the send key it would keep track and charge us. so we would pay a provider access then pay for how much we use it. WOW is all i can say. what do you think. it appears to be a real deal. questioning???? ----happy days sherrye

Food bill was attached to another bill as an amendment and was passed at about 7pm last Sunday. As far as the FCC thing, yes, I hear it was adopted/passed. Supposedly, it is all about 'net neutrality'...that is, the 'big boy' providers (such as comcast) cannot charge you, the consumer, more for things which take up more bandwidth, like streaming video. That's how I understood it.

after reading through what I found it would not be a charge for individual use, possibly a charge for companies wanting more bandwidth. Certainly not anything to panic about.

Congress is in recess right now so I don't understand how anything could have been passed this past week

there was a ruling on this tues. it appears it passed. you can go to keeping a family cow site. there in the news spot is good. they have a link. i dont know how to do that. it seems to be moving forward. also their is a group in vermont that is fighting back. they are fighting for our right to choose what we eat etc. very interesting since the food bill passed mixed up with the money bill. they DID sneak it in. so my thought is DID this bill pass. i am not sure., but looks that way. thanks kathy. maybe you could check into it for us. happy days sherrye

This rumor has been going around for years, almost as long as the one about Bill Gates paying people for forwarding a certain e-mail. It's a rumor and that's all it is.
