Those socks look wonderful! I can only imagine how great a pair of hand knitted socks feels. Maybe someday I'll learn how to knit my own :)

Wow..I have never heard of that! I do have the pattern I use most memorized..it takes me anywhere from two days to a couple weeks in my spare time to knit a pair. Depends on my days. I do daycare..which either means I can knit and watch kids play some days..other days there is not a minute to spare during the day. I tend to have more than one project going at a time as well..so it is hard to say exactly how long. I wish I just could start a pair and see how long it really took with no interuptions..not likely with 4 teenagers and the daycare and all..haha.
I have knitted for years and years and still sure don't knit alot of tricky stuff...I keep it simple. I love socks though. My favorite to knit.

How long does it take you to knit a pair? Do you have the pattern memorized? I really like knitting - beginning level - but, I have this funky thing where my thumb is half out of joint . . . The doctor said I need a thumb joint replacement (like a hip or knee). I thought he was making a joke. Apparently, I was wrong. Who knew!

I did get your post Marianne....I will post a new pic of the finished socks on my blog in the next couple days...having computer problems and the photo to blog thing is what I have the most problems with..sigh. I wish I had enough socks knitted to send everyone who entered the giveaway a pair..and one for me too..these turned out very nice...will go great with jeans! I am on to knitting a new pair already..different yarn and this time for me ...I think.

Jenny, I left a comment on your blog. Those are so nice. And they sure would be useful here right now. It's freezing here. We got about 6" of snow on Christmas day and it's still on the ground. I just love wool socks. I stole my hubby's wool socks since he doesn't wear them anymore. I can sure tell a big difference in the wool and the cotton socks.

O, a trouble's a ton or a trouble's an ounce,
Or a trouble is what you make it!
And it isn't the fact that you're hurt that counts,
But only--how did you take it?
