ok that will be fine... thanks for explaining too. what a neat idea!!!!howdo you go about shrinking the wool with out losing some of the soap. Just sit it in hot water??? doesn't the soap melt kinda too?? just wondering....love the idea!!!

hi bev, i make felt bar soap also. what is used is cleaned unshrunk wool. you wrap the bar of soap in the wool. all the way around totally covered. then you shrink the wool to a felt on the bar. this gives you a wash bar with soap inside felt wool wash cloth wrapped around outside. we love them here. i use black and brown for the guys. hides hair and stains on wool. by the time the bar is gone inside the felt is shot on outside. you grab another. hope this helps happy days sherrye

I guess I do not understand the question. you want white wool roving for felting soap? what kind is this. do you want the wool roving before it is washed and carded? I guess I do not know how you use it for felting soap? I do have some white wool roving from my merino sheep some washed, some not. what do you need? bev
