Posted - Nov 28 2010 : 4:16:32 PM Does anyone else go to the trouble of make gingerbread houses from scratch? We started doing this when my kids were younger and although we have missed a year here and there due to the kids' disinterest in gingerbread (or should I say interest in the opposite sex) we generally do it every year!
They smell so wonderful and we always have a competition to see who can make a two story house - no winners yet. .. we aren't very good! But, it is so fun to buy the candy and plan the night and compare each other's creativity.
The absolute best part is when Christmas is over and it is time to dispose of the masterpieces (we don't eat ours). We take them out to the paddock and let the horses eat them. They love them and we get such a laugh.
Please share your gingerbread adventures...I need some new ideas! Marianne |

Posted - Nov 29 2010 : 07:49:17 AM I had trouble finding ginger two weeks ago! What's going on? It really surprised me, but I just had to check out another store, not a big deal. Good luck getting to the gingerbread houses. barns or condominiums this year! Marianne |
