Hi Winona,

I did edit your post. On our policies agreement we state "Please stay away from hot topics, like politics and religion." Cindy Lou I edited your post also for the same reason.

Thank you,

~Brian

Must be talking about health insurance? If your adding another person it makes sense it would go up. Has hubby's daughter lost her insurance for some reason?

By the way I enjoy your blog. You are right, there are a lot of people out there who deserve a place on your list.

Forgot to add... but at least we aren't as bad off as some of my friends. I'm really hearing some horror stories and now feel like we "may" be pretty lucky. Sad, huh?

Ours is thru our employer too but we have to kick in this year for hubby' daughter, and it's a killer.

BTW, did a post of mine get deleted?? I'm sure it posted and then I didn't see it.

I feel so bad for you, Winona. We have had a steady increase in the cost of our insurance - as well as in our mandatory copayments - for the past couple of years. My husband's employer does a wonderful job evaluation our plan every year, trying to keep the best plan possible for everyone while keeping the cost down as much as possible. He is very generous to help as much as he can, but he just can't cover it all anymore -and I totally get that. Many times he struggles just trying to find work for his employees, knowing full well they need to at the very least put food on their dinner tables! Nevertheless, every little increase to our cost makes it that much harder to make ends meet on the homefront. Ugh. That is just so unreal that they can keep doing this to everyone. Sometimes I look at our EOBs and see what the providers are charging - even for little things - and it makes me ill that they get away with it. I realize a lot of it is due to trickle-down expense, but when is the madness going to end? Thankfully we do have insurance, though - I suppose it's better to have to pay for the insurance and copays vs. pay the entire amount charged by our providers...or worse, to not have insurance at all! - Nini

God gave us two hands... one to help ourselves, and one to help others!

Mine was going up & I did a parallel move to another plan so I'm paying under $200.00 a month. Can you get a hold of an insurance agent & talk with them? I have a great one that I swear by. Bad thing is I'm changing my plan annually now. Good thing is I can keep the same dr.
