Posted - Oct 22 2010 : 7:10:35 PM This is the first chance I have gotten to sit at the computer for several weeks. I decided today that after all was calm I was going to take some me time and check in on the farmgirls. I read through many of the most recent posts trying to get caught up on the latest scoop and it felt like I had just come home from a very long trip. It sure feels good to "sleep in your own bed" if you know what I mean. It has been a very eventful summer here on the farm but things are calming and returning to normal as cooler weather settles in. I missed you ladies. It's good to be back.

Posted - Oct 28 2010 : 09:10:44 AM Yuuuuummmmm! Honey! I'm a regular "Pooh-bear" when it comes to honey. My local bee-man is going out of business because of losing so many hives over the past couple of years. Yes, Ohio was really dry this summer too. I was constantly watering my flower pots. Have a great day Gals!

Posted - Oct 28 2010 : 08:34:24 AM Hi Victoria!
I may be new here since you checked in last, but we keep bees too. How many hives do you have? We currently have 9, although a couple are weak and may not winter over up here. We just extracted and bottled our honey last weekend. It was a poor honey year here in Northeast PA - we think because it was so terribly dry that there was very little nectar in the blossoms.
Anyway - welcome back!

Posted - Oct 28 2010 : 06:20:34 AM Good morning ladies. Thank you for the welcome home hugs. Oh Judy, now I feel really guilty. But I promise you, you are not alone. I haven't written anyone in a couple of months. You know I just wish I was bilingual and could understand bee. I am sure they are telling me exactly what they want I just can't get the translation down. Actually, they are doing really good. You will hear from me soon. Ya'll have a great day ya hear!
