Posted - Sep 26 2010 : 7:05:44 PM Just wanted to share this with you ladies:
Today was our September FarmGirl meeting of the Maydelle Belles chapter. We learned how to make soap, thanks to our 'sister', Tayce. What a fun meeting! We made a vegetable-based soap and she used clove oil, nutmeg, and cinnamon to scent it. What a fascinating process! Tomorrow, she will cut the bars and post pictures. She treated us to cheesecake, coffee, tea, and good ol' cheese dip. Yum. Then, as we were leaving to go, as we walked outside, we discovered that the outdoor temperature had fallen into the sixties!!! This comes on the heels of 90+ degree days with horrible humidity. Woohoo! And, to top off a great day, she shared seeds with me which had been sent to her from her Armenian sister-in-law.
Great day!
If any of you would like to see what goes on in our chapter, I have a Maydelle Belles page on Facebook. Just be sure to mention you're from MJF, so I will know who you are. :0)

P.s. I've been playing around with the spelling of my name ( weird I know) and I've decided that I will stick with Hannah for good. Sorry I got you all confused. Hugs!! |
