I have found all sorts of stuff being tossed here at the apartment, hate seeing stuff junked that still have life, we found this 1950's kitchen table and I had to have it, cleaned it up and it is still in great shape. I love it

What a find! My grandmother had one like it, it was red and had several leaves so it could open big. She had about 8 matching chairs.

I love your table! That style is close to my heart. This was the type we had as our kitchen table growing up. Had many wonderful meals at that table, thanks to my mom! Dang, miss that table. Miss my mom more.

Enjoy your new old table ;-)

Great find. I've got 2 of these types of tables and have seen them in the antique stores for quite a bit of money. You found yourself a real bargain!

my kids laugh at me but I love rescuing old things from the trash and tell them I'm being environmentally friendly, less in the landfill and great old things in my home

Oh my....that's a really nice table. People just don't know what they have, do they? I can't imagine throwing that out. It's like my Grandmas, only hers was red! Great save!
