Sat up late and watched that movie tonight....I had forgotten how really good it is. Great music, great visuals, and good story line. I had not seen it in a long time. Loved it all over again.

I've never seen Pure Country with George Strait. Is it a love story?

That's the thing - I recently saw Crazy Heart and was disappointed. I think it was because in the back of my mind I was comparing it to Tender Mercies, and Crazy Heart was kind of sleazy compared. I also loved Pure Country with George Strait.

Yep, I saw Crazy Heart. I really liked it (but I'm a Maggie Gyllenhaal fan, anyway).

I saw that movie a few months ago. Loved it.

I too just revisted this movie and so enjoyed it - thanks for giving a heads up to those who might not have seen it and for those to revist it.

I've seen this movie years ago and would love to see it again. I remember that I loved it!

Tess Harper is the actress. There's a few other known actors in it also.

I just recently watched a movie called Crazy Heart with Jeff Bridges. I liked that one a lot also. Anyone here see Crazy Heart?

I love Robert Duvall, too. My Uncle Chip is a dead ringer for him!

Robert Duvall is one of very favorite actors ever. I think I might have seen this but not sure. I like just about everything he's been in.

It is about a country singer who lets drink get the best of him and lands himself in a small motel/gas station in the middle of nowhere Texas farmland. He stays on to work off his debt to the owner, because he is broke. He fixes things, pumps gas and helps in the garden. He becomes friends with the little boy who lives there. The owner is a Viet Nam widow. Romance blooms and it goes on.....a sweet movie but a good one. Duvall is the best and does all his own singing. Wow! Love the visuals of the flat countryside too. It is old, but timeless.
