Posted - Aug 23 2010 : 06:52:28 AM Yesterday at Tala's horse barn, I saw that the color changing on some of the trees. During one of the last 100 degree days of the season, I am sure.
It amazes me that we are heading into the end of August! Crazy!
The mornings are getting colder and the evenings are already getting dark before 8pm.
School is in session for most kids, and College starts soon. Nora's preschool is switching over to the "School" session instead of "Summer" session.
And this morning's air was crisp and cool. Fall is definitely on the way! Hurry up and ripen tomatoes!! You are running out of time!

Posted - Aug 25 2010 : 07:28:14 AM Fall is a beautiful time of year, but I am so not ready. My flowers are in full bloom, my garden is doing great and I love my green yard. My kids were out playing on their swingset yesterday with no shoes or socks on. I so enjoyed the sound of their laughter!
Where has the summer gone??

But, I've seen a few leaves drift and dance from the trees to the ground!
I love Fall.

Posted - Aug 23 2010 : 5:21:33 PM The weather here in Wisconsin is great, temp 80 degrees and sunny. We wish for fall but it always seems that when school starts in our area the tempuratures seem to climb. I was in my classroom today setting getting ready for my kiddos and it was warm. I'm ready for the cool weather.

Posted - Aug 23 2010 : 4:52:14 PM Alee,
This weekend my husband & I took our kayaks down the Yellowstone River and you can tell that Fall is in the air. There were trees here and there with leaves changing color. Even with the high temps this past weekend the angle of the sun seem to be changing too.

Posted - Aug 23 2010 : 12:39:52 PM All of you northern girls make me so jealous. I was born in the north and my soul is still there. Here in GA we still have the summer heat. Send some cooler weather my way please!! I remember walking in the woods with the leaves crunching under my feet starting in late Sept. I remember the smell of fall. I remember the cooler nights. Oh I have learned many things living in the south but what can I do? I was born in Nov and fall is in my heart!! Barbara

Posted - Aug 23 2010 : 10:13:39 AM I can feel it too Alee. The leaves are slowly changing here and the mornings are getting bitter cold. But I love fall anyway so I don't mind. :) Hugs, Channah

Posted - Aug 23 2010 : 09:23:52 AM I can't wait for the weather here to cool off another 10 degrees and for the ragweed to stop it's fury so I can open my windows and breathe deeply! Yay for fall! Pretty leaves, apple picking, light sweaters, knitting, beautiful days at the park, cold mornings! Woohoo!
