ON THE FARM
Found this dear little olde library book (Rockford Lane Library) while doin' some 'shabby shoppin' recently .. and couldn't resist getting it to offer as a fun little 'prize-ette' to one of my 'farmgirl' friends. SOME of us remember the 'fabulous fifties' .. and this book is a 'beginner reader' (somewhat like the olde Dick and Jane books of the era) ..copyright: 1958. ohhhh .. and it has been well read and loved by a schoolyard of chilluns!

o.k. .. here's the 'game' .. sit somewhere cozy ... close your baby blues, browns or greens (eyes) .. and let your mind wander to a 'peaceful place' somewhere on the farm of your dreams. yep! you might be living there right now .. or wanna' live there someday .. or it can be a farm of your childhood visits .. or even one you've read of in a favorite book.jus' post here ... a little bit about the farm of your imaginaings .. (a frannie word). and jus' before heading for DisneyWorld next week .. i'll put all your names in a basket and draw one out and send this little book along to you when i get back to 'the farm'.

The farm of my dreams would have lots of places for my grandchildren to play. A tree house or fort made of logs (we have them already just need a place to plant them). Probably made to look like a Daniel Boone cabin from Kentucky or there abouts. Lots a trees, grasses, flowers, and a big veggie garden.
A porch that is cozy and warm, with brick or wood floors and lots of plants. A barn and a garden shed for holdin' all kinds of things to decorate the farm for each season. A few Christmas trees around to light up over the Christmas season. A pumkin patch for the Fall. Oh I could go on and on...
Dreamin' big!
