I have really enjoyed my month, thank you all so much for your kind words and little surprises that you sent me. I am so blessed.
The hardest part of being Farmgirl of the Month is choosing the next one. I would love to nominate you all!!!
There is one farmgirl that has a special place in my heart. Siobhan (Clothedinscarlet), AKA Liza-Jane is my pick for August Farmgirl of the Month. Thanks girls! I got the sweetest package in the mail yesterday from MaryJane and Meg. It had a nice little note with some vintage buttons and hankies and a cute handmade washcloth. Thanks MJ and Meg! What fun to be farmgirl of the month!

Awe...you gals are so sweet! I feel I don't deserve the honor as my face has been scarce these days. This summer has had me so busy caring for my family with vacation and preparing for homeschool and gardening that I really haven't been around as much and definitely have not been keeping up with my farmgirl spirit in sending notes and getting on here to chat with my sisters like I would like to. But, family comes first. And hopefully, now that summer is winding down I will be around more often and will be contributing to our little "community" much more often. I just am overwhelmed at this honor and, like I said, I don't feel deserving at the moment, but I promise I will not make you all regret it! Thank you, sweet Diane! You have a very special place in my heart too <3 And thank you, sisters, for all of the encouraging words! You're all so sweet and it has made life that much sweeter just to be friends with you. I wish we could have one big sister reunion so I could meet you all and give you hugs. There are so many here that I feel like I know personally, even though we've never met in person. Thank you for accepting me into the family :)
And yes, we were away camping in our little vintage camper this weekend in Ludington, MI. AMAZING!!! It truly was one of my most favorite camping experiences yet. It's a beautiful state park with many great features. We had gorgeous weather and our cozy little camper with our cute little family. What could be better?! So, we got back yesterday afternoon and as soon as we arrived home it was straight to the church for rehearsal with a guest worship leader we had in for this weekend (my husband is the worship pastor at our church and I sing a couple times a month and I just happened to be scheduled this weekend - I knew before leaving for camping that it was going to be a whirlwind weekend). So, we got up at 6 am and packed up the camper in the pouring down rain (boy was the sound of that rain on our camper roof so sweet. I just wanted to stay in bed and soak it in. But...life has responsibilities). So, we headed out at 7 am, got back home at 10:30. Got showers and got to the church at 11:30 and reahearsed until our first Saturday evening service at 5 pm. Then another service at 6:30. Then we had to take the kids home to a babysitter and take the guest leader and his family out for dinner. Then we got home at 10:30 and I don't even remember my head hitting the pillow. Then, back up this morning at 6:30 am. Got to the church at 8:00 for sound check and first service at 9:30. Then another service at 11:30. Then drop the boys at home with a babysitter again and take the guests to lunch before they headed back home. So, I left lunch at 3:00 and had to go straight to a bridal shower that I was already 1 hour late for. Got home at 5 and collapsed on the couch while my boys watched a movie. So, I finally mustered up the energy to check in on my email since I hadn't had the opportunity since I left for camping on Wednesday and I found an email from Diane telling me to check out the August farmgirl of the month. I am truly honored and it was so nice to end my exhausting weekend with such nice words of affirmation. I think I am now going to go throw myself in bed and finish checking my email tomorrow. And hopefully I will catch up on what's going on with all my sisters on the famrgirl connection then too. Did I miss anything really important?
