Posted - Jul 25 2010 : 4:02:05 PM Here are some of my favorite things this summer. I hope everyone enjoys them as much as I do. (My DH took these pix.)

A tiny brown bird makes its nest on the beams of our honeysuckle trellis each year.

This is the first year in the seven years we lived at this place that more than one hydrangea has bloomed. I think they are gorgeous!

We planted scarlet runner beans to attract more hummingbirds. In the meantime, we have fallen in love with their beautiful orange blossoms. This won't be the last time we plant these!
Hope everyone's summer is going great!

I'm glad you enjoyed them. Hubby LOVES taking pictures of nature, and he loved it that you liked them. What are cardinal flowers? They sound pretty.
