It's been a while since I've been on but I wanted to touch base and share some MJ experiences...
I was in Spokane, WA last week with my lovely boyfriend for vacation. Our big excursion was to travel to Coeur d Alene, ID to MJ's store!
It was beyond AWESOME! I was in heaven my friends. How does a farmgirl on a budget pick her purchases? I bought some bakeover mix, gluten free and regular. I bought the baking mag and some beautiful apple butter as well as some cool magnets. If I hadn't had limited space I probably would have taken the entire store with me! Aaarghh!
My Step-Mom and I combed every inch of the store, chatted with the gal in the shop (Jen?) so friendly and man is she a gifted merchandiser!
Anyway, my Dad and lovely BF hung out in the mall while we played in the store. Good guys.
That's the upside, the big fat bummer happened yesterday in Seattle when we were flying home. The airport security took my apple butter and were not nice about it either. I was so mad! I cannot even tell you how much it upset me to see them take with my treasure!
Guess I'll have to order another online. sigh.
Oh well, all in all it was an inspiring trip and it really fired my creative juices!
I'm thinking Mary Jane should open a Chicago store and hire me to run it!
Hugs to you all!

Posted - Jul 23 2010 : 4:54:52 PM Oh yeah, I have heard that MJ's apple butter might be a definite threat to US security. It could contain explosives, or better yet, drugs....
that is terrible! What has happened to common sense in this country?

Posted - Jul 23 2010 : 2:55:08 PM Linda...that really stinks about your apple butter. They must have thought you were going to blow the plane up with your terrorist apple butter. LOL
I was in the CDA, Idaho store last month. I live about 6 hours away from there but I am from Spokane originally and all my extended family live there. Spokane is a nice place to be from. Anyway, I was a little disappointed on how small the Store was and that they carried so much bedding and linens. I did buy some of the cute cards there, a couple of her specialty books and some of her wonderful lip-gloss.
I hear that the Moscow, Idaho store is really cool and has a much better variety of stuff. Hopefully, I'll make it there sometime.

Couldn't agree more about the Chicago store! I'd be asking for a job.
