Hi Shirley, it is wonderful to have you join us, it is amazing to me just how many Colorado farmgirls we have on the forum. And, there are many more than just the ones who posted on this forum, because Colorado is a beautiful, wonderful place to live. God's Country.
I love living 9000 feet up in Florissan, but I believe I could live in any small town in Colorado and be happy, I like going to the big cities but just do not want to live in them.
My son lives in the Denver area, I do not get there open but when I do perhaps I can try to meet some of you.
Farmgirl Hugs,
Debbie

Debbie,
Byers about 40 miles East of Denver on I-70. It is a wonderful farming community. It is in a line of towns which were small Railroad watering stops years ago...each one is exactly 6 miles apart. I love living here already as the sunsets are beautiful and the people are so friendly!

Welcome Margaret!
Byers is a nice area. We get out there to the new race track every once and a while.

Welcome Margaret!
We get over to Byers quite a bit, we do some racing at the new track out there. Just a nice area yet accessible to amenities.

CariAnn,

Welcome to the forum! I live in Longmont and do a lot of "urban homesteading"
Check out the Boulder Valley Schools Website, they are currently taking applications for school bus drivers if thats something that you or hubby would be interested in. They pay you full pay during training and pay full benefits (health, dental, life insurance) after 30 days and they guarantee a minimum of 20 hours (most bus routes are much longer than that. The class starts in August. My whole family works there.

Hello Colorado Farmgirls!

I am new to Colorado and to being a "Farmgirl" Im currently living in Johnstown but will be moving at some point (hopefully this year) to the Firestone/Longmont area. My husband just retired from the Military (Also stationed in GA near Savannah as Blessed in Colorado was). We are jobless and homeless at this time but things are starting to look up! My dad has allowed me and my boys to use his back yard for a garden and so far I am enjoying the beautiful bounty the the great mountain air has helped produce! I love Colorado!! :)

I am back from visiting our son in Denver and helping him move. So happy to be back in the mountains where it is cool. Kathy the next time I go to Denver we will definitely have to get together for lunch, this trip there just was not time.
Happy to be back in contact with all my sisters.

Okay Heather I know where I will be sleeping on our camping trip, in the Glamper. Checked out your blog what a beautiful Glamper you have, I can see from the pics all the love, sweat and tears that went into it. I have always wanted to get one to redo maybe one day.

Kathy I tried to join the Farmgirls Southwest Henhouse, but it told me they were not excepting any new members. Am I doing something wrong? Thought I was a member for all on the sites.
