Yesterday I was a bit shaky. I am not sure why.

One of my projects yesterday was cleaning a huge feather bed pillow top thing. It is much too large to be cleaned in even a commercial washer. (King Size and 6 inches of loft) SO I drug it out to my clean lawn and sprayed it down with cleaner. I then decided to use my sprinker head as the sprayer since my sprayer nozzle got lost in our move and the springler puts the water under pressure. So I turned the water on, and kinked the hose so I could get into position with the sprinkler.

My sprinkler is one of those rectangle one about 4x2.5 inches of metal. Well my shaky hands plus wet hose were a bad mix plus the pressure from the hose and I lost my grip. The sprinkler of course did one of those cartoon like flips in the air and guess who was standing over it- yup~ Yours truly. The sprinkler got me right in the middle of the forehead. I had a bit of a gash- it looks like about half of a penny. :( It hurt!

I can laugh about it because it was such a silly injury- watch out for fly sprinklers!

Well the initial scab came off yesterday but I still have a pretty hard lump and I am pretty sure the bone is dented. It should be fully healed by next week.

So how is the lump? I have been thinking about you. The reason - this graceful grace tripped over the hose not one, not twice but four times while trying to get the water tanks filled - I kept reminding myself each time to be more careful but yet I did it again... Sometime I amaze myself - I should have been a dancer!!!

Hope you are healing fast.

Ooowww, Alee. That sounds like something I would have done! (Reminder, do not stand in a swivel rocking chair for "just a minute" to adjust your curtain!) Hope you will feel better soon.

I thought only I did those kinds of things - You would fit right in at the Funny Farm. Heck you might even make me look graceful - Who am I kidding nothing makes this clumsy gal look graceful, not even my name.

Sorry you missed out on riding but take care of yourself, watch out for those tricky hoses and you will be right as rain in no time.

Doesn't sound silly more like painful! You are pretty ingenous to think of a way to clean your bed-top!

It's all good!

Wow!Glad it was nothing emergency room serious, but my goodness do be careful with a gash on your head, especially if you were already shaky.

Well I am kindof bummed- It kept me from riding my horse today. I couldn't stand the thought of putting a helmet on over it so instead Tala got a beauty day.

Alee, sounds like something I would have done, I am notorious for stupid, I really do know better accidents, lol. As far as a half circle scar, just tell everyone its a crescent moon birthmark, and that you are blessed...

My Hubby could've told you it would hurt! The fire dept he volunteered at as a teen did a similar thing to the newbies and he fell for it! His was the size of a half dollar, but didn't draw blood. Take things easy and you should be okay. I'm glad you weren't hurt worse, but sorry you got hurt at all. It will make a great story for parties later though. I guess that's a bright side, maybe. :)

I am glad it wasn't worse too! It's pretty classic for me.

Once Doug got home from work I went to bed. I wasn't feeling well and had a pretty hard time sleeping. I am sure it will be better in a few days though.
