It was a "farmgirl kinda day" for me today. After several busy weeks of run, run, run, I finally got a day to just "be". I did some laundry, pulled some weeds, had a delicious organic lunch outside with my doggie, worked in my vegie garden, wrote a letter to my farmgirl sisterhood penpal, sent emails for my sisterhood chapter, made MaryJane's recipe for 'Healty Corn Doggies" for my daughter's (and my) afterschool snack, walked the dog in the beautiful weather, brushed dog's hair and teeth, made Row markers out of tin can lids (from MaryJane's book), and made an organic dinner of organic chicken, rubbed with organic herbs I grew myself. Played outside with my little girl, then we made a "castle" with a "working" drawbridge out of a cardboard box that came UPS last week. No tv for us, just good quality time, followed by reading a book together. Now I am "winding down" with all my online Sisterhood pals, and counting MaryJane's farm as one of my blessings for inspiring me so very, very much.

Yes, it was a great, relaxing day. I slept like a rock, too, last night. Now today is grey outside and cool, and now I have more tedious stuff to do, but have spring in my step from such a nice on yesterday. Hugs to all my farmgirl friends!

Nicole, don't you love days like these?? I had a day off today and sort of did the same thing, had sheets on the line by 7:30 this a.m., couple more loads done by 10:00, cleaned a little and puttered outside a little bit. Got alot accomplished but enjoyed it too. I like these "farmgirl kinda days", and I agree with Kristin, wish they could all be like this!!

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away..
