So, I have to wear a bra at work. I feel uncomfortable without one unless I have a sweater or something over the top so no one can tell.

At home and on days off I go without as I think it is much healthier.

Lately at work I have been feeling like my bra was way to tight and no matter what I did even when I bought a larger size I still felt like it was digging into my side. Too much pressure on a pressure point or something.

The bras I buy are the no wire kind. I think they are called T-Shirt bras. I love the way underwires support but again they dig into me so I usually end up cutting a hole and taking the underwire out.

The past two weeks have been horrible. I don't know if my fat shifted around or something but it has been a battle with myself to find a way to get my bra to be comfortable.

So on Saturday it felt like the bra was rubbing me raw under my arms so I folded up some klenex and put it there. It worked! Instant relief.

That got me started thinking. I didn't want to have an accident where my comfort-klenex fluttered out from under my shirt! How embarassing!

After thinking about it all weekend I cut some 1x2 inch squares from some super fuzzy thick cloth. I folded it in half and sewed it to the inside of my bra right where it puts pressure on my sides (where the bra cup meets the elastic band). It works! I am hopeful that today I won't have to tug and pull on my bra and hopefully it won't rub me the wrong way!

Today was so hot, and my chest underneath my bra was so sticky and sweaty! Well, everywhere was sticky and sweaty, but I all I wanted to do was pull off my bra right then and there in class!

I never needed to use kleenex except when I was nursing and out of pads.

Hey!
The last time I used Kleenex in MY bra was when I was 13 and I put it in the "cups." (such as they were....)

Now that it's starting to get warmer here, I can hardly wait to get home and take off my bra! It gets so sweaty between the fabric and the skin!

Like you Diane, I went to Victoria Secret, figuring an expensive bra would fit nicer, as i hate the darn things too. 50 bucks later, and I hate it! When I am home I put on a cami and my sweatshirt.

I wear my cap around my waist.

I did order a couple of those tape measures. The one time I measured it came out a lot smaller than I wear so I did not believe it. I need to do it again and take more care in getting it right. I might have somebody help me.

I have gone and gotten sized and measured at professional lingerie places and their bras are just as uncomfortable as the Wal-Mart ones so I end up just buying the walmart ones. I think I might just have sensitive skin and I think it is realated to my weight gain. I am hoping I get less sensitive as I lose some weight.

You could try one of the lingerie places like Victorias secret-I'm sure they would know how to measure you! Also, the Clotilde store does sell a tape measure made just for bra sizing. Seriously,I didn't know how important the right size was in comfort and appearance till I was wearing the right size.

I am a well-endowed lady so I wear one most of the day but do not wear one to bed. Occasionally go without one here at home. My gynecologist at one time told me I should wear a leisure bra to bed because of fibrosistic tissue. I gave up caffiene but I couldn't start wearing a bra to bed. I can't stand underwires. I've been thinking about going to a professional fitter because mine ride up in the back, also. I tried having one at my local JC Penny's once but that lady didn't know what she was doing.

Alee-sounds like you may have went into a different bra size-why not go to a department store & have yourself measured for a bra? Doesn't mean a bigger size-just a different size-I found I was wearing one too big.
Smaller one is much more comfy tho I am ready to take it off after 12 hours.
My mom had a best friend that stuffed her bras with kleenex-she had a tricky way of taking it off while leaving her shirt on-one night she was visiting mom & was in the middle of this when my Dad came home from work-he was just in time to see kleenex flying all over the living room!

Summer especially makes it sooo uncomfortable! I must go through 2 changes of clothes some days.

It gets really hot and itchy under the chest band. So in fits of desperation, I tuck the hankee under there too.

I used to sleep in my bra, but for some reason ditched it and feel so much better w/ one of those cotton racer back tank tops. Feels lime I can breathe and not be so ultra constricted

Just like the favorite pair of jeans or shirt, most of my undergarments are in sad shape. Again....somethig that fit great a long time ago is no longer being made. So let's hope I won't be making emergency trips to the e/r anytime soon! At least my panties are in better shape!

I hate wearing bras. I am 58 and have to wear my 1st strapless bra to my sons wedding. I practiced wearing it under my shirt while working around the house and hated it, fortunally I can wear the strapes with a small jacket that came with the dress but they want a few pictures of the mom's in their strapless dresses. I thank God I was blessed with small boobs.

Hope all your days are Sunnydays.

I have 'sports' bras that I wear for around the house and working outside. They are stretchy and t-shirt material, so super comfy. I do have 2 white regular style for when we go to church or a night out, but that's it. The rest of the time I stick to the sports or jogging style.

I'm still searching for the perfect one.

FYI:
To measure for your correct bra size:
Measure just under your breasts for your back size ie: 32, 38, etc.
Then measure the fullest part of your bust for your cup size. Depending how many inches more than your back size will determine your cup size. For example your back size is a 36 and when measuring the fullest part of your bust it's 38 then you are a 36B
(an inch per cup)

I used to work at Victoria's a long time ago before it got risque :)

I try not to wear my bras too tight, otherwise I get indents all around my chest! I hate sleeping with my bra on, too. Alee, you are too funny, though!

Well it has made it A LOT more comfortable. However this one doesn't seem to have enough "sticking" power. It rides up a bit and pushes from the bottom. I think I am just spoiled since I go bra less so much. I did see a different style that had a thicker underneath band and I might try that one next to see if it will hold it down where it's supposed to be.

Ah the trials and tribulations of working where there is a dress code! ;) Oh well :D

Alee, what a great idea. That is really using that farmgirl brain! I hate bras too and cannot seem to find one that's comfortable no matter what. SO I usually go without also. But that is a great idea. I always have shoulder issues. The straps are always falling down and I am constantly pulling them back up. I have no shoulders apparently.

I grew up in the 70's-Bra burning and all!

I hate wearing them and resort to putting the darn thing on only when I am out and about-I am not especially endowed and so a comfy sports bra is my one and only favorite--

I know how you feel. My friends all said it is because my bra isn't fitted. So, I go to Victoria's Secret and have them fit me. I end up spending $48 for this bra and I hate it! I don't wear them unless I have to. I am not so large so for me it isn't a big deal. My daughter on the other hand is well endowed and wears one to bed! Ugh, if I am wearing one the minute I get home it is off, unhook and pull through sleeve method. The perfect bra is a sweatshirt. LOL

...in the summer time when the humidity is high and my hot flashes kicks in high gear... I tuck in a hankie or a small wash cloth (rolled) in the cleavage area to keep the "glistening" to a minimum!
