I applied for a badge last week. How long does it usually take to hear back about it? Do they email you or just post it somewhere? Maybe I didn't fill it out right. How will I know?

Hi Robin,

It'd be neat if you did but no it isn't necessary to earn a badge. We don't want anyone to feel forced into buying a digital camera.

Hi Jessica,

Yup that's the gist of it. However we don't actually require anyone to upload a picture, its just cool if you want to show off your work.

I am glad this topic is posted, so, I want to make sure that I understand this correctly. :)After I've done what it says to do for the Merit Badges ie. make a sewing kit for sewing beginners, then I need to take a pic of what I've done and email it through the merit badge application form to receive my badge?

Hope that it's okay that I bunny trailed a little :)
hugs

Hi Judy,

I've got your badges applications, I'll get to them today.

Casie-

Are the photos you're uploading .jpg files? They won't upload if they aren't. If they're really large you may want to try resizing them first. Let me know if this doesn't work.

i tried again and let my computer sit again while sending it through. The pictures will not let me send the application through. What should I do?

I got my first two e-mails for badges today. I can't wait to print them off.

I did do exactly what you said. I even let my computer sit to send it through for about a half hour. It never changed the page though. I'll try again, hopefully it works!

Thanks!

I was wondering, I took pictures for the badges that I earned, however I think from living so far out and having dial-up it isn't letting me send my application through with the picture. Do I have to send the picture or is there another way to go about it? Thanks! I really appreciate the help!

Hi Marcy,

I'm sorry, it looks like I haven't gotten yours either. Did you see the "Thank you" screen after you submitted? It will look like this:

I just applied for my first two badges a few days ago and I was wondering the very same thing. I haven't heard anything either.

Hi Angela,

I just checked through the submissions from the past month and it looks like yours didn't come through.

Like CJ said (thanks CJ) you'll get a Thank you screen if the submission went through. You'll just see a blank submission page if it didn't go through though. If the captcha code is giving you problems try first typing your badge information into a word document that way you can cut and paste onto the submission form instead of having to retype everything. Captcha codes can be a pain if you're not used them...actually they're a pain even when you are.

I usually get badge applications processed within a week at most so if you don't hear anything you can email me as well. kevinquinn@maryjanesfarm.org

Let me know if you have any other questions.
