Would anyone know what would eat the flower of a tulip? ... Its not deer that I know. What ever it is eats my poor flowers right down to the stem. It is stealth and seems to prefer some tulip tops over others. Its starts to eat one tulip and decides its not as tasty as the next because it leaves a few petals on the ground and continues on. Its WAR I tell ya... WAR!

Oh happy day!

The wild rabbits ate several of mine this year. I walked outside and catch them in the act.

Hey Robin,
hahaha! so it seems that I am not the only one with this problem, yep something was "snacking" on my tulips...we have deer and pygmy rabbits not to mention marmots, gophers and badgers out here...
Let me know if you ever find out, & I will do likewise!

Hey Sherry,
wow! I never knew that, that tulips are edible....but I think I will stick to enjoying them in a vase rather than on my plate!

I dont think its a dear.. what ever it is, is not touching the tulips on the side of the house which are far more accessable then the tulips in the back of the house which is fenced in.
