Posted - Apr 22 2010 : 8:18:00 PM I didn't get out and play in the dirt like I wanted, but I did make my daughter and I and nice all organic meal. As we ate we played a game from Organic farms. Later, I did some spring cleaning in the kitchen, recycled stuff, and gave some stuff to my daughter who is getting married. Ahhh...less clutter!

Posted - Apr 22 2010 : 6:41:34 PM Yay Earth Day!! I celebrated with my class today! We had lessons on recycling, reducing, reusing, conservation. We made wreaths with the recycle symbol and earth. We did a word search. My kids have already been doing a lot of this in class...any paper, plastic, cereal boxes, milk jugs get recycled. I ended the day giving them Earth Day Every Day awards for doing this ALL the time! I am VERY proud of them! A funny note...one boy was washing his hands and a girl standing near by kept turning the water off every time he'd turn it on. I told her to stop so he could finish washing the soap off...she said she was conserving water. I told her that was great...he just needs to get the soap off!

Posted - Apr 22 2010 : 10:05:22 AM I hope to do some planting today, too. Looks like rain right now, though. If it rains, I'll settle for sowing some seeds in containers or starting a jar of sprouts :)!

Posted - Apr 22 2010 : 09:45:53 AM It is Earth Day. I almost forgot. I have been out in the garden planting. And mostly heirlooms. So that's my contribution. I am taking a break now. It's gettin' hot out there!
