As alot of you know, Hubby and I have been trying to get into our new house for over a year and a half now. With just CR and my Dad working on it and their schedules usually conflicting, we haven't made very good headway.
Soooo....I was thinking of asking for some help. I was thinking something along the lines of an old fashioned barn raising sort of idea, but of course, it would be for doing the repairs on the house. We know a lot of people that would be willing to come and help, but I need to get the word out there.
I think if enough men were willing to help, that we could knock off all the repairs and fix the distraught yard to rights in less than half a day.
I want to make a flyer explaining what we would like to do presented as a sort of "barn raising".
Any ideas would be most appreciated!!
thanks ladies!! :D
hugs
Jess

You could have your friens and family let the local churches know also. How about the "shop" class at the local High School or College.

One stitch at a time, one day I may finish.

My grandma did that to build my Grandpa's workshop. She made a flyer that offered lunch to any and all who showed up with their own tools and signed in with her by 10:00am. Then she got some of her girlfriends to show up with their special dish and she only needed to make the vege side dishes! Make sure to have lots of tea and lemonaid on hand. You could post the sign in the local store and gas station, where ever people like to hang out!
