Posted - Apr 17 2010 : 3:06:53 PM A girl I had dealt with on ebay last winter sent these to me yesterday for FREE. Said they need help and maybe I could fix them up because she didn't want to sell them or throw them away. So I cleaned them up and posted a picture. There are two others but they are in the hospital.

Posted - Apr 18 2010 : 7:13:57 PM That is wonderful, I use to work at a doll hospital. I had almost forgotten. It was during my making porcelain dolls period. Dolls are cool. Thanks for taking these babies in and giving them a new life.

Posted - Apr 18 2010 : 6:00:48 PM Oh Nancy! I love old dolls! Thanks for showing us. Do you have an idea how old they are? How old do you think the little girls are NOW who played with them when they were new?

Posted - Apr 18 2010 : 10:40:09 AM You definitely rescued those old sweeties. The woman from eBay chose wisely when she sent them to you, I also love the picture of the rocking cair and all the beautiful handwork. You know, you could do house tours...

Posted - Apr 18 2010 : 09:47:58 AM Well I don't collect dolls but it seems they keep showing up here. These last ones that I posted a picture of were in pretty dirty and poor shape. But I just soaked them in dawn clothes and all, then got out the hair dryer.

Posted - Apr 18 2010 : 07:18:52 AM They came out beautiful. I love old dolls. Of course, I love any kind of doll. I took a class through the mail a few years ago to learn how to make and restore dolls. It was a lot of fun and I learned a lot. You did a great job!
