I'm just about to leave for one of the Easter get togethers I am oh-so-excited to attend, and I was struck with an idea for a poem. I think this little ditty will help get me through all the weird looks and questions my family generally gets when we're out hanging with the other relatives who aren't so keen on our "weird life". I thought I would share it with you all. I guess it pretty much sums up the way I feel about why I am the way I am, and the strength you can feel in committing to who you really are.

Be You
by Amy Dingmann

be You.
unapologetically and completely.
without explanation or defense.
without worry or second guessing.

be You.
without naming or categorizing.
without fitting yourself
or anyone else into a box.

be You.
without righteousness.
without questioning another's virtues.
without hypocrisy.

be You.
before the edges blur
and you fade into
a cheap copy of someone else...

be You.

Perfect Poem . . . but truly I don't know why you would get weird stares . . .you are a doll and the life style you lead, after seeing your blogs, is one to be envied. You are a true blessing . . . just being yourself!

Hugs & Blessings,

Brenda

Your poem was spot on!

Mary Jo, I know how you feel. This forum is terrific for talking to like-minded people.

Oh Amy, you know the saying that when the pupil is ready the teacher appears - consider yourself a TEACHER!

The poem is spot on and I know that you are YOU! Your edges are clear, sharp and perfect for you, the rest have to find their own path and who know's there might be a pupil waiting for you at the gathering.

Blessings, Be Well and Stay Sharp.
