I've hit 4000 posts and it's my last day on the job. I'm so ready to get out and dig in the dirt! The temps are forecast to be in the seventies for the next five days at least. I've got a semi-dwarf plum tree and two climbing rose bushes and a car load of transplants to start with tomorrow. LOL! I'll only be online sporadically for the next few months(skating on thin financial ice until I can withdraw some funds from my retirement). So no computer till then. The last email I deleted from my computer was from Clare Adams(suzyhomemaker). She was the bravest person I've ever had the privilege to encounter in my journey through life. I've met a lot of amazing women on this forum, but Clare was the gold standard. It feels strange to think 'no more job'. But so far, Nancy Jo is so right about it being like summer vacation every day. I've started thrifting more(set up regular dates with friends). And I'm optimistic about finishing the farmhouse and getting the daylily beds under control at last. So with me luck and thanks for being here!

Janice, the finanical thin ice is worth the feeling of freedom you will have. In fact, next winter when it really is icy, you do not have to get up and go to work!!!! You will love it. Look forward to hearing from you again, and when you get back on the computer, include photos. Love to you!

Yay! I'm really hoping for good weather this go round. We would love to come to the farm, Janice. So, get some work ready!!! Ha! The "Moneypit"...that's one of my (still) favorite films.

Janice, I wish you the best . . . I'd love to be able to quit my full-time job, but can't right now.

I take it, by your comments about the computer, you don't have one at home?? If that is the case, I hope you can get one soon so you can join us again.

I'll be digging in the dirt too, but it'll have to be on days off.
ENJOY!!! ENJOY!!! ENJOY!!!
GOD BLESS YOU!!!!

Heard from Lisa yesterday, Jonni. She's hoping to get to Burlington, too. And you and Justin and Violet will have to come out this summer and see the 'money pit'. The gazebo should be in place sometime in May and at least we can picnic out there. :)
