So first the rooster showed up (who needed to be rescued!)and my husband just smiled and shook his head at me. Guess what my husband was doing just a couple days later?

Building me an incubator. :)
From a cooler.

The man is a genius and is always whipping up some contraption or another. This time, it happened to be an incubator. For his crazy wife. He'd been researching it for awhile (how to build a homemade one) and he built it almost completely from stuff we had around the house. The only thing he had to buy was a water heater thermostat and a thermometer/hydrometer. He tested it out several times, being all techinical...holy moly...it works!!

So today...we got hatching eggs.
Need I say more?
What a sweet guy. :)

I have pics and will post about it on my blog...eventually. But I just had to share it with all my farmgirl friends because you're the people who "get" how exciting it is! Most other people I know are like "Your husband did what? He built you what? What the heck for???"

That is so cool. I saw something like that on utube. I have eggs ready to hatch in 3 days. Good luck with the project.

It's all good!

Amy, my hubby used to be able to do all kinds of things. When he was younger! He still does little things when he's home. I am very greatful that he can still do some things around here. But I still remember his younger days. He's still a keeper, though. It sounds like you have a good guy, too. It's just so sweet what they come up with to make us happy.

That's fantastic Amy!! And yes, we do understand how much that means. I came home Friday night and my DH had built me a chicken feeder all of his own voalition! I didn't even ask him to do it!!. Things like that really do make life sweet.

Hay Amy not all guys are bad and most if they really love you will help you out. The only real thing is sometime they just do not understand what we want and why we want what we do. I have to say it took me the second time around but I have a great guy. He does for me and himself. My next project for him is a sofa table that I want ajusted to hold my photo books upright on. He says I just have to many at present it is only 25 books full. Lilly

The way I'm grinning from ear to ear you'd think that it was my hubby! How awesome! Isn't it great to have a guy who just smiles, shakes his head and supports you?! Congrats on the roo and the incubator, good luck with the ensuing hatch!
