Posted - Mar 13 2010 : 10:51:07 AMThe last time I made lavender cooling mist I followed a recipe that included Vodka....Yesterday, I came across a very simple recipe without it.
Does it make a difference regarding shelf life?
Thanks ladies!

Posted - Mar 14 2010 : 10:30:55 AMAlee....that's what I thought---personally I prefer the lavender mist WITHOUT the Vodka!
I went ahead and made a BIG batch with less than half the amount of alcohol and the aroma is so much nicer with a bigger dilution.I pour my concoction into lovely cobalt blue misters...I think I have a photo on my blog.
Thank you Alee.

Posted - Mar 13 2010 : 10:55:03 AMWell Vodka makes it last longer. Vodka acts like a preservative You could do water but make it is smaller batches so it doesn't go bad. Hope this helps!
