hahaha laughin so hard i've nearly peed my pants hahahha

Would you ask your son if he is fluent in dog as well? My Ruby now thinks she is a cat. She likes to sit on the desk and watch the birds and answers to "hear kitty kitty", but hasn't picked up on the meeowing part yet. So there may still be hope for her. hahaha

That's funny Amy - as I was reading Mr. Roo's real name I was hearing one of my hens saying ba-gawk, still going too, must be some eggs. Anyway, your roo found the right home for sure!!

LOL - My 7 year old son just went in and had his morning conversation with Mr Roo and announced to me that Mr Roo told him that his name is actually Mr. Brownie Ba-gawk. He then told me that he's well trained in talking to chickens. Oh my. I've created monsters!!

Mr. Roo is very lucky to have landed at your home. Although I like "Dog" too. Too Funny! LOL

Thanks for the report. I wondered how soon you'd get the pics on here after reading your blog last night on Farm Buddies. Yup, He looks like "One Happy Roo." He has a good home now and people who love him! Good for you guys! He is a Sweetie!I like the name Storm, but Mr Roo is cute too. I can just hear you calling him and see him "comin'a runnin". Congrats Amy, on the beginnings of your "Dream Chicken Coop" ! ;-)

Love the pictures. Sounds like something that would happen in my house. You may change your mind about having him in the house when he starts crowing at 5 AM or just after midnight like they sometimes do. He looks like he could have a very healthy crow. LOL
farmmilkmama Posted - Mar 13 2010 : 05:54:33 AM
He hasn't crowed yet, but he sure talks pretty to me. :) We are still deciding on a name. My dad says "fried" or "baked" sounds good. (LOL.) Simon, my almost 6 year old says "We should name him Dog. Because we have a real dog we named Rooster (true!) so now we could have a rooster named Dog." My mom wants to name him Sully. My husband just shakes his head and says "What am I going to do with you?" I was thinking more like Rat or Storm (since he looked like a Drowned Rat and it was in a storm that we found him... but everyone has kind of taken to referring to him as Mr. Roo. So we will see what sticks.

The song is called "Exactly" and its by Amy Steinberg. I love it and have to listen to it often - it keeps me grounded and in the present moment!!

Amy, I forgot to ask you who is singing the first song on your blog? I like her music. I commented on the Barnyard post.
