Posted - Mar 07 2010 : 12:38:52 PM well, last tues we got a clog & couldn't shower,do dishes or laundry. Dad,having basic plumbing know how, went under the house & fixed it,but in so doing he's pretty sure he accidently tore out a hernia repair done in the '90's. While he felt it was coming undone before,he's never mention it to his Dr no matter how much I reminded him-"I forgot" or "we got to talkin about cameras" always being the excuse. Now the bathroom sink is acting up-hoping liquid plumber solves that, but in the meantime can you please send good thoughts & prayers to my Dad (Dave) for tomorrows dr visit? Will keep you ladies posted....been a wierd week .....

Posted - Mar 08 2010 : 07:08:30 AM What a great idea! I haven't thought about baking soda and vinegar in years to unclog a drain. I haven't been able to use my bathroom sink for almost a week! I hope all is well at the doctor.
It's all good! |

Posted - Mar 08 2010 : 07:01:54 AM Sherrie, I have had good luck clearing clogs by dumping some baking soda in the drain; followed by a cup of vinegar. Let that work and bubble for a while. then pour in about 2 cups of boiling water. Usually works like a charm and NOOOOOo harmful chemicals, either. Michele

Posted - Mar 07 2010 : 3:27:59 PM liquid plumber worked great on the sink! As a farmgirl perk,I also cleared out & sorted under the sink-here he was blamin mystuff for makin the clutter-turns out a good part of it was spare plumbing parts he forgot he put in there years back......in addition to a spare handheld showerhead and motorized toothbrush. *laughs triumphantly!* but am still concerned about what they find at the drs app. Hoping he just pulled a muscle or something like that.

Posted - Mar 07 2010 : 2:09:16 PM Sounds like its been a rough week!! Ain't that just like a dad to "forget" to mention it to the doc? My thoughts will be with your Dad for his doc appointment (hopefully they won't get talking about cameras again!)...and I'll also be hoping that Liquid Plumber takes care of your sink!!
