I am in such a slump lately. Have tons of stuff I should be making but instead I sit on my butt all day and read.
Just can't seem to get it together.
Help!!!

I am there with you too. I have read five books in the last two weeks. My Dad is here and he is in questionable health. His wife needed surgery and they came here so I could take care of them both. So I take care of them, and then sit and read because I don't want to get started on any projects, I just keep getting interrupted. I have been out riding my horses a few time in the past couple of weeks but that is because my DH is laid off and he is home to help them out when the horses need work. Rodeo time though so I am going to have to get off my butt and at least show up there.

I made it outside finally, and I'm glad I went - don't know why I have more energy for projects when I'm working than when I have time off work, hmm....

I'm there too...I should be outside re-building my coop, working on getting the yard cleaned up , working on project that need to be done, and I'm sitting on my tootie most days reading or surfing the net BLAH! But with nicer weather coming, that should help liven us all up =)

I have been hooked on Clive Cussler novels lately. They are action adventure and not usually read by women but I love them! I have been barganing with myself. I make a list of three things I have to accomplish and then promise myself I can read for an hour if I finish those things!! It's been raining for two days. It started yesterday about 2 hours after I put my laundry out!

It's all good!

i pushed myself out the door today and loved being in the warm sunshine
but i honesty love to sit and read even though
my work is piling up oh well
we'll all get motivated as soon as the weather breaks
and than instead of cabin fever it will be spring fever
and you won't be able to sit still

Thanks gals. It helps to know I am not the only one who is sick to death of winter.
But.... my brain is certainly being enriched by all the reading

Someone said we're winter weary, that's a good way of putting it. I have had to MAKE myself get busy, and my projects are way behind. But I have gotten a few things done.

I think maybe what you girls need to do......is exactly that, sit on your butt and read if you want!! Recharging your battery is always good, even if it is 50 degrees outside and sunny!! Am sure your bodies will thank you tomorrow!

There is nothing wrong with taking a few lazy days when you're low on juice. I too am sort of feeling cooped up. There's not really much to do in 20 degree weather outside:(

I am with all of you. there is a reason for the low energy and even the possibility of depression because of the sun not shining for as long in the winter. I learned about it in college. I am considering going to the tanning salon until the time changes back! The chickens are even effected by this.

It's all good!

I agree with Melody. It's cabin fever. We're all winter-weary and feeling crazy pressure, from all directions. Enjoy your reading. It centers you and relaxes you!

Me too Michele - like today it is about 50 degrees outside and I should be outside weeding or something and I am inside reading. To be fair to myself it is my first day off as I work Tuesday thru Saturday, but still, when do I think I am going to get this stuff done?

Sounds like a good case of cabin fever to me!

Enjoy your reading...Everything comes around again, and again, and again....soon enough.
