What a way to start out the week..........

I ran to Wal-Mart this morning on my way to work, to get a few things.
I was shopping along, and all of a sudden I felt my feet leave the floor. All I could think was what the heck!! Then I was on my butt in a big lake of laundry soap. Of course my first thought was oh my! who has seen me bust my butt No one was in the isle, at that moment I was glad. I then scrambled to my feet trying to feel if I was ok and making sure I hadn't broken anything. My bottom side was soaked in soap. I then went to find someone to tell them and to make sure it would get cleaned up. I couldn't find anyone, so I headed to the ladies room to wash my sandals (new ones too), it actually made little bubbles each time I stepped. I was washing my shoe and a Wal-Mart worker was cleaning and she got on her little radio and called someone to clean the mess up and also called the manager. She insisted I fill out a accident report, she said you never know what might be hurt.
So the manager came to the service desk and asked me to fill out the report. I explained that I was not hurt, but was on my way to work, and now my pants were covered in soap. He told me to go to ladies wear and get a new pair of pants, and bring the tags to him. Which I thought was really kind.
I ended up only being 15 minutes late for work, but I bet I will be really sore tomorrow, I already feel aches and pains
But as I sat at work today, it made me angry with the person who spilled the soap. They could have went and gotten someone to clean it up or at least sat bottles of laundry soap around the huge puddle so no one would step into it. It amazes me how irresponsible people are anymore!!
I am just very thankful that I didn't break anything!

Yeah Bridge, definitely wait a few days. I fell in October and was stiff for a few days and then thought I was okay. In January, my back just started hurting me for no apparent reason....I'd jammed my vertebrae out of place when I fell (landed on my shoulder) and it took that long to catch up to me and be unbearable. You might want to go to a chiropractor and get it checked out to be on the safe side, even though you think you're going to be fine. I think I would, after living through that once already.

I rubbed some "Unkers" salve on my leg and back last night. I was expecting to wake up very very sore this morning, but I actually was not that sore. I am so glad. Thanks for all the well wishes!!.

Hope you feel alright tomorrow. There is just nothing more tramatic than a fall. It is puzzeling that no one was aware of the spill.

Once fell on my ass wrestling with a friend's boys and next day couldn't get out of bed - my back had gone out! Couldn't walk for a week! Make sure you're okay.

Glad to hear you are ok. i feel the same way when i see something spilled in the store. how hard is it to tell someone that there is a spill. I agree with PP make sure you are ok if not wal-mart should pay for it.

Make sure you are ok, if you have any problems in the next few days make sure you let wal-mart, know about it, they would cover any medical costs, they will do anything not to get sued. you can probably put those pants you were wearing when you fell in the wash without adding any soap, see there is always a bright spot!

Wow, glad you're okay! It's hard to have a good day when it starts that way, isn't it? At least you got some new pants out of it! Hopefully you won't be too sore tomorrow.

Yes, some people are just inconsiderate these days!
