I'm sure I don't have to spell out what is happening with the neighbor's dog and my lawn. lol
I've tried to just take it in stride but the pooping pomeranian doesn't seem to be using his own lawn anymore and the neighbors just let him do it. I don't have a really good relationship with these folks so I'd rather not have a chat about it with them. Should I continue to shovel and bear it? Is there a way to deter the dog without getting into with the neighbors?

One lady had this problem down the street with her neighbor. She bagged it up and returned it : )

Instead of placing it on the way to their mailbox, why don't you put it IN their mailbox?

I never heard of that but I do think it is a great idea. In the past I have placed my neighbors dog poop at the end of their driveway, they don't drive over it but it is in the pathway to their mailbox. I have no idea if they know it's me or not. They are nice neighbors, they keep to themselves, so they may think their dog pooped there when he broke his chain which he does a lot. He's a great dane mixed with God only knows. Very scary but he's the friendliest dog around here.
Kathy's idea is 2 thumbs up!

Hope all your days are Sunnydays.

LOL! What a topic, and I like Kathy's response! Before moving out here to the country where there's not a neighbor in sight...we lived in town, with neighbors VERY close. The neighbors had their entire back yard (small) concreted, and so their dogs used our yard! Was very frustrating! Between that and their houseful of very large, very loud --SQUAAAAAWWWK--tropical birds, I am SO thankful to be living in the country! Hope you try the sprinkler idea with success, Kimberly Ann!
