Posted - Feb 23 2010 : 4:22:14 PM Julie, what a "Cute New Do for You!!" hahaha It's perfect for you. GodBlessYou for doing something so sweet for someone else. I wish I had known about LocksOfLove back in 1994 when I could sit on my hair. I had DH(then boyfriend) cut it just up to my shoulder blades and he was worried about me not liking that. I went shorter a little at a time. Now I have a bowlcut and we both like it. I cut my own hair now. Had I known about L.O.L I would have cut it all at once and donated. Rats! :-(

Posted - Feb 23 2010 : 4:01:30 PM Thanks everyone! I was nervous about cutting it so decding to donate it really made it an easy transition. And yes my hair s naturally wavy and VERY thick! The part I cut off took 6 days to dry!

Posted - Feb 22 2010 : 6:34:25 PM Very cute cut, Julie! Did you know if you cut your hair yourself, you can still donate it? If you go online and get on their website, they tell you how.

Posted - Feb 22 2010 : 6:31:27 PM Julie, that is great, and your haircut is so beautiful! I donated about 12" to Locks of Love. I grew it out from third to the middle of sixth grade, and now I'm growing out my highlights so that I can grow my hair again. Before I had it just about 3/4 ways down my back. God's Blessings, Megan

Posted - Feb 22 2010 : 6:07:19 PM Very cute hair cut. My daughter did that. She grew her hair all through Jr. High and High School and the day after she graduated she donated her hair to Locks of Love. She is a blond and had more than 20 inches. The lady that cut it was very excited. She is growing it again so she can do it again. I think it is a wonderful thing to do but mine is so thin it wouldn't do them any good. LOL

Posted - Feb 22 2010 : 5:50:58 PM Hi Julie: Love your haircut. I've been growing my hair for the same reason. It is to the middle of my back. Maybe by summer I'll have it cut and hand it over. I bet doing that made you feel absolutely great. Marly
