Posted - Feb 22 2010 : 06:08:45 AM I just bought a treadle sewing machine this weekend for $40. It's a Mason rotary. I've looked on the internet but can't seem to find what I'm looking for. I'm looking for the belt that connects the wheel and the foot press. Can anyone help me find this? Thanks so much.

I Googled "Singer treadle sewing machine" for my Singer and found a website that told how old a machine is by the serial number. You could try that. My Singer uses a leather belt that is spliced together with a big "staple."

Posted - Feb 22 2010 : 08:33:56 AM At the risk of sounding rather silly....How do I find out how old it is? And exactly what model it is? I know NOTHING about treadle sewing machines and very little about regular sewing machines.
