it's such a sunny day and the robins are chhirrupping! I SO want to start on my garden! We had thick, thick frost this morning, so I know that I can't start just yet, but OH MY GOODNESS! I really am looking forward to the first delicate blossoms of my little plum trees and the tulips and daffodils ! Walks in the nearby parks and shaking the winter out of my house and sunning my self in the garden! Yup, Spring is teasing us real good this year.

To all of you still locked in the grip of winter. I wish that I could package up the sunshine and bird song and send it along to each and every one of you

It is totally amazing that this could really be the start of spring. I just keep wondering but it has been wonderful to finally see the sun! I even posted on my blog about it as it soooo lifts my mood. The sun is out again today, so I am going to try and do a little clean up in the yard. It is still quite cold at night but fun to see the frost melt from everything so fast! Sorry about all of you that have snow. This is the first winter I have been here in over 30 years that it has been this mild! Love it!

I saw a black-capped chickadee today - I'm no bird watcher but I happened to see the same bird in a drawing in Martha Stewart's magazine and I said "that's the bird!" I love seeing the harbingers of spring.

Doesn't it? I have the next 4 days off which coincide with the weather forecast for dry and clear - I'm hoping for some weeding and chicken coop cleaning time. Just being able to get outside and walk is huge though!!

Holy cow! Where was winter this year??? I live in Palouse and I'm itching to plant something! The weather has been fantastic, our pastures and our small front lawn have a hue of green already! I love it, but since we've also had snow in June here, I hesitate to think spring is here yet. But it feels great to be outside!

Oh, so not fair! We, yesterday & today, have overcast skies, snow flurries and we are in the 20's. Got 4 inches yesterday and they are expecting double that tomorrow. Just reading your description of Spring at your place was my teaser! Can't wait either!

We had kind of a tease day here also....not real warm, about 48 degrees.....I spent the afternoon raking rock back into the driveway, that had been plowed along with the snow last winter....had to do something outside and take advantage of the sunshine!! Still too cold at night to even think about removing the mulch from the roses, etc.!! Just talked to my cousin in Seattle, her flowering cherry is in bloom, I'm pretty jealous!!

live, laugh, love
