Here's another. I try to remember this quote and say it to myself everyday -

Michelle, that is my favorite quote, too! I still don't know who originally quoted it, but I have tried to remember to live by it - especially after being transplanted from one side of the country to the other. Love all the other quotes too! Here's one from one of my daughter's favorite movies: " 'Hello is the first word in a new friendship".

Diane...I love what you said...our name truly is the only thing that we can take with us...and would it not be sad that our children, family and friends mostly had bad memories of us because of the kind of life we lived before them...

I have to agree with Channah, "Folks are about as happy as they make up their minds to be" (Abraham Lincoln). And it was on a darling little note that Channah sent me that these words were written, I was having a little rough patch after losing my DH, returning to work, etc. I have chosen to practice that phrase many times daily since receiving Channah's note. What a difference it has made in my attitude, especially at work!!! I cannot thank that sweet little 15 yr. old enough!!!!

I like my by line at the bottom. For me it is so very true. I also love bloom where you are planted. My mother said that all the time and truly lived it. No matter where she was she made the best home and life out of it.
