Harvest Thyme Farm is gearing up once again for our 2nd Annual Spring Fling, Heirloom Seed Sale & Plant Swap! I am looking for local vendors who would like to bring something different to our show. Booth space is $10. You need to supply your own table, chair, etc, however, your refreshments will be free and there is a goodie bag (think Oscar swag bag on a farmgirl level) for each of you.
Set up is between 9-10am which will give us ample time to visit with eachother and do some pre-event swaps. I am also looking for anyone that would like to do a presentation on beekeeping, candle making, starting herbs indoors and so on. There is a lot of advertising going into this, I've already started advertising on a Cleveland Local Food forum as well as Facebook. I plan on doing local paper ads as well.
If we do experience rain, I will try to have the barn for us to set up in. Space is limited. I encourage you all to bring tents.
Last year was a good start. I'd say we had about 50-75 outsiders wander in. I'm hoping for 3x that this year.
Please email me for more information. A lot of farmgirls will be in town for this. You can camp on my property or I can direct you to local hotels. If you choose to stay the night we can do a cookout in the evening, potluck style. Let me know if you're interested and I will help you out in any way possible.

OKAY...

Spring Fling to fly on May 8 from 11am - 5pm.

You are more than welcome to come on Friday the 7th and stay thru the wknd. Its Mothers Day wknd. I tried and tried to pick a date that would be before major planting starts but it may be cold, rainy...who knows with Ohio weather. As for food, I'm requesting that everyone bring a little something, we can go to a local diner on Sunday, we can go Sat night. Just let me know what everyone wants to do. Last year we had a pulled pork vendor but I'm not sure I want that again this year. I will be selling homemade strawberry rhubarb ice cream and rhubarb punch as an "heirloom food". I will have a couple deli trays.

I would like vendor money to be in no later than April 1, 2010. Its $10 a spot and the spots are generously sized. I've got plenty of land for us to spread out. I will have a picnic area as well. Tents are encouraged. Okay, email me if you have any more questions.

Dawn,
My sister and I are really interested in being there and being vendors. Tried to come last year but couldn't work it out. We have a camper now so we'll be able to make it. I do need the dates,
Michele

Sure thing Karen, I'll get right on that! haha! I know, I wish we all lived within a 50 mile radius. Wouldn't that be a hoot??

I was just wondering Dawn if you could pick up your farm and move it a little closer to Ga. ? I sure hate to miss out on all the fun! Hope you have a great turn out and make sure you take plenty of pics so I can at least imagine I was there. Blessings,Karen
