Posted - Feb 11 2010 : 3:25:31 PM I have a question for you ladies who make cards. What is your favorite type of glue? What do you use to put decorative paper onto the card stock? I am a beginner and need some good advise. I received this great card making book that has wonderful ideas but they didn't tell you how to put the cards together. Thanks for any help. Toni |

Posted - Feb 13 2010 : 08:00:29 AM I think you can get glue dots at some of the Dollar Trees. They have some nice scrapbook stuff too.

Posted - Feb 13 2010 : 02:51:11 AM Tom-Bow tape runner or the one that Walmart now carry's (pretty good and much less expensive.) Glue dots and foam dimensionals for some embelishments and the super sticky red tape for heavy stuff.

Enjoy your new book! ~Michelle |

Posted - Feb 12 2010 : 7:00:31 PM Toni, "Duck" is the brand . . green box, red applicator. Been able to get at JoAnns. Used to be able to get at Walmart, but no longer. I just get when I go to Phoenix or have my daughter get them for me.
UHU is the brand of glue stick . . . yellow tube.
Other glue sticks work too, however I like UHU best. I also avoid the colored glue sticks . . . the blue ones do NOT turn clear. I don't about the purple ones . . . leery of trying them.
Hope that helps!! CJ

Posted - Feb 11 2010 : 7:17:58 PM I buy card stock that folds and is card size and if I make my own I use a glue stick. I use a glue stick for adding extra and soft spongy dots to help hold pics away from the card. MB

Posted - Feb 11 2010 : 5:20:44 PM Toni, Double sided adhesive on a roller . . I like "Duck" the best. I use that in spots on the back and then finish off with glue stick over the entire surface. I think UHU is the best. CJ
