You are getting pounded up there! I am so sorry! I live in Missouri and while we have gotten more than our fair share this winter - you all are getting the brunt of it. Stay warm and safe! Don't get out in it if you don't have to! OMG - that sounded just like my mother!! :-) I am way over it this year - I don't know if it's because I'm getting older or what it is - but I would love to see a blade of green grass!

I don't have snow but it is really cold and gray. It's been only in the 40's today. For us in MS that is pretty cold! Beef stew sounds wonderful. We have a woodburning fireplace with a fan system. It use to go thru the entire house but the previous owners took out the pipes! I think in the spring he is going to fix it for next winter!!

It's all good!

We ended up with over a foot of the white stuff. We also had 35 MPH winds, so ya....it drifted too. DH had to go to work early for a 12 hr shift. Guess who gets to clean out the driveway? Yup!! If I don't he won't get back in. The snow plows have burried us. We have bright sunshine that's making everything drip, but trust me, it ain't gonna help me with that driveway ...AT ALL!!! lol

Hey ladies,

Yes, Baltimore County is buried under 26 inches of snow and falling as I write this post. And, weather"people" are calling for more snow Tues into Wed. Some people are without power. Put lots of wood on the side porch for the stove (just in case). With so much snow it's difficult to remove because it's so high and heavy. The news calls this "heart-attack snow" and is cautioning everyone to do a little shoveling at a time. And if you cont. to read the posts, a shout-out to Angela, from Westminster, MD. Gal-you're right up the road from me in Pikesville. So a snowy-white howdy to you!
Stay warm and enjoy the snow!

Here in NE Ohio it started snowing around 4pm and we had 5 inches of heavy, wet stuff by 8pm. It IS Gorgeous though. I'm trying to keep up with it so when DH comes home, at least the sidewalk will be clean. He gets home around 10:15 pm. I bet tonight he doesn't get here 'til around 10:45, it's that slick out! Say some prayers girls!

We are getting 30+ inches here tonight and through tomorrow!! But it is okay, I love the snow, and I have all I need to survive for a couple of days!! I am kind of excited. This is the 2nd HUGE storm we have had this year. And another coming in Tuesday...but I don't know snowfall amounts for that one.
I made beef stew on the woodstove tonight in case the power goes out in the middle of cooking:)

We've been told 3 more storms are blowing our way in the next week - all with rain/ice/snow/freezing rain/etc. Nothing like winter in Oklahoma. Everyone's been complaining, but you can't have 70 degrees every day of the year, especially here.

Looks like we're going to get 4-6 inches here, in NO. Kentucky. Much more up north and into Indiana. I hope so...we didn't get ANY snow last weekend, and Violet wants to wear her snowsuit :)

We have folks here in southwestern OK who have been without power for over a week now and the northern part of the state got snow and ice this morning. We're being told to brace for next week and depending on which weather site you look at online, we're going to be getting it off and on all month.

I remember a blizzard on the first day of spring back my freshman year of high school. It is winter here, after all. We just usually don't get hit like this. I'm trying to enjoy it, but the slip I took off my porch last week didn't make it happy. I did like being snuggled down in the house, though.

Lainey,

My aunt lives in Richmond and we are from Hazard. I live in Cincinnati now. We are suppose to start with freezing rain about mid day tomorrow followed with snow. I went to your blog page and I have that fairy picture framed and on the wall of my office I just love it. Maybe we can get together the next time I come down

Majal,

I am in Waco, just east of Richmond and south east of Lexington. I love snow too but I don't drive very well in it so I just catch a ride to to work with my hubby. From what I saw of the weather we are to get snow most days next week.
